So...got to shoot an M16 for the first time in a long time. This was the first time I even picked up a weapon in four years! The last time was at the Army Officer Basic Course. I wasnt very good back then really. I just basically pointed and shot. Now Ive gone through an actual class, so I hope my score is better. Definitely didnt do badly before, but I certainly didnt know what I was doing!
Today was awesome! On the range, over looking the beach on one end and the mountains on the other while shooting M16s is definitely a perk of being active duty. I would be in an office somewhere enduring the everyday grind, and wishing for more adventure. Well I got it and I can't wait!
On that same note though...I love being active duty, however, I know I can do bigger and better things on the outside. Several options still exsist. Active duty, full time school, or back to Kraft and risk moving all over the place again. All I want is to be somewhere for longer than 5 months! is that too much to ask? I love to travel, but Id also love to have a place I call home. Maybe someday, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Practice makes perfect and don't shoot every sparkley thing! Stay safe! --Sarah
